The Bread of Life Food Pantry is putting out a call to the community for a simple but crucial item: empty egg cartons.

The food pantry, located north of Plymouth, has recently been blessed with larger quantities of eggs to help feed families in need. Their most recent donation brought in 190 dozen eggs — a significant bounty that will go far in supporting the community. However, these eggs arrive in bulk rather than pre-packaged cartons, creating a logistical challenge for distribution.

"We're looking for donations of clean, used egg cartons," a pantry representative explained. "Whether they're half-dozen, full dozen, or even dozen-and-a-half cartons, they all make distributing the eggs much easier."

The pantry has set up two convenient drop-off locations for community members who want to help.

GIANT fm WTCA Radio at 112 West Washington Street in downtown Plymouth is serving as a collection point. Donors can stop by weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. If staff members are out of the office, cartons can simply be left on the porch.

Alternatively, donations can be dropped off directly at the Bread of Life Food Pantry at 6770 North Michigan Road. The pantry is open for donations on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
