Illinois 12th District Republican Congressman Mike Bost has announced that he has been selected to serve another 2 year term as chairman of the House Veterans Affairs Committee in Washington D.C.
He issued a statement indicating the committee made great progress for veterans and their families over the past two years and is looking forward to working with the incoming Trump administration to build on those successes.
Bost's new term as chairman will start when he is sworn in as part of the 119th Congress on January 3rd.
The 12th District represented by Bost does include Lawrence County.
