Jail Bookings

The following people were recently booked at the Fulton County Jail:

• Michael W. Slusher, 59, Mentone, was arrested Saturday on a warrant issued out of Howard County. He was taken into custody by sheriff's deputies during a traffic stop at Fourth Street and State Road 25. 

• Elijah L. Hall, 38, Rochester, was arrested Saturday on a warrant charging him with nonsupport of a dependent. He was taken into custody at the jail and held on a $260 cash bond. 

• Haley B. Markley, 33, Claypool, was arrested Sunday on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia. She was taken into custody by Rochester city police following the report of an unwanted guest at 331 W. Fifth St. She was held on a $2,500 surety or $500 cash bond. 

• Tanner A. Gatchel, 29, Laketon, was arrested Sunday on a preliminary charge of driving while intoxicated causing endangerment. He was taken into custody by Rochester city police at State Road 25 and County Road 775 North, following the report of a reckless driver, and later released on his own recognizance. 

• Joshua P. Stahl, 37, Bristol, was arrested Sunday on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and driving while intoxicated. He was taken into custody by Rochester city police at U.S. 31 and County Road 50 East and held on a $2,500 surety or $500 cash bond. 

Police Incidents

Unwanted guest
• At 7:39 a.m. Friday, police received a report that a man was sleeping by the back door of Elevate Studio, 124 E. Eighth St. He reportedly left prior to officers' arrival.

Wrecks
• Vehicles driven by Jacquelyn S. Hawkings, of Rochester, and James E. Welsh Jr., of Kokomo, collided around noon Friday at Hickory Lane and Westside Road.
• Vehicles driven by Timothy A. Bowyer, of Cicero, and Mia A. Howdeshell, of Rochester, collided shortly before 11 a.m. Saturday at Fourth Street and Fulton Avenue. 

Animal call
• At 2:06 p.m. Friday, police received a report that a woman was hitting dogs and screaming at Northgate Apartments. 

Not allowed
• At 3:28 p.m. Friday, police received a report that a four-wheeler was being operated in the area of 11th Street and Fulton Avenue. The driver was later advised to keep it off the roadway and out of alleys. 

Fights
• At 4:44 p.m. Friday, police responded to a report of a fight at a residence in northeast Fulton. Police records indicate that there were obvious signs that a physical altercation had ensued, with officers instructed to detain a man involved if located on suspicion of domestic battery. 
• Shortly before 3 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a report of a fight at 2097 Sycamore Drive. Initial reports indicate that at least one person was hit with a broom after someone was locked out of the house and broke a window to get it. 
• At 3:24 a.m. Sunday, police received a report of a fight involving a man screaming, slamming doors and making threats at a residence in the 300 block of West 11th Street. That altercation was determined to be verbal in nature, however, a woman involved wished to pursue charges for allegedly being assaulted by another man earlier in the night at Putt's Bar & Grill, 128 E. Eighth St. Both parties had been kicked out by the bar owner, who was to check video footage for the incident. 

Fire call
• At 5:45 p.m. Friday, firefighters were dispatched to a fire at 705 E. Fourth St., Lot 85, in Four Seasons Mobile Home Estates. The fire had reportedly been extinguished within minutes of the original call. 

Intimidation
• At 7:03 p.m. Friday, a man residing in the 100 block of West Third Street reported that he was holding his child when another man threatened him with a baseball bat. Police records indicate that the incident involves a possible charge of intimidation, as well as a protective order violation. Investigation is ongoing. 

Suspicious
• At 8:03 p.m. Friday, police received a report that someone has possibly been staying in a shed at night at Northern Traders, 2801 N. Old U.S. 31. Liquor bottles were found near the shed, and extra patrol was requested. 

Business request
• At 10:29 p.m. Friday, staff of Burger King, 2440 Main St., requested police review footage of someone dumping trash in their dumpster and peeing in the parking lot. 

Mischief
• At 10:41 p.m. Friday, a woman requested to speak with an officer about a man shooting a paintball at her car. There was reportedly no damage done as a result. 
• At 12:40 p.m. Saturday, police received a report that plastic flower pots were tipped over and thrown in a yard at 128 W. Third St.

Runaway report
• At 8:07 p.m. Saturday, police responded to Pilot, 389 Rochester Crossing Drive, on a report that a possible runaway was looking for a ride to California. The male had reportedly not been seen for at least a week, with police advised to be on the lookout. His father arrived to pick him up. 

Dog bite
• At 12:18 p.m. Saturday, a woman residing in the 400 block of East 18th Street reported that one of her children was bitten by a dog they had recently taken in. She was advised that animal control would follow up on Monday and she could attempt to surrender the dog at the Fulton County Animal Adoption and Education Center. 

Counterfeit money
• At 4:18 p.m. Saturday, a man reported that someone purchased his 2015 Chevrolet Silverado with counterfeit currency. The sale was reportedly made Thursday night at Tippecanoe Valley High School. 

Leaving the scene
• At 7:42 a.m. Sunday, police received a report that someone drove away after hitting a 2001 Ford Focus overnight in the 500 block of Pontiac Street. There was reportedly yellow paint transfer observed, as well as dropped alcohol containers at the scene. 

Littering
• Shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday, police received a report that someone dumped tires, a Shop-Vac and other various debris in a ditch at county roads 800 South and 300 West.
