
Jail Bookings
The following people were recently booked at the Fulton County Jail:
• Michael J. Blandon, 28, Indianapolis, was arrested Friday on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on an original charge of driving when never licensed. He was picked up in Hamilton County and held on a $100 cash bond.
• Karsyn McKee, 18, Rochester, was arrested Friday on a preliminary charge of domestic battery. He was taken into custody by city police at home after the report of a fight and held on a $200 cash bond.
• David M. Burlak, 55, Waverly, Va., was arrested Saturday on preliminary charges of driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated causing endangerment, aggressive driving and leaving the scene of a property damage crash. He was taken into custody by sheriff's deputies at county roads 400 West and State Road 14.
• Alisa K. McCallon, 57, Watseka, Ill., was arrested Saturday on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and driving while intoxicated causing endangerment. She was taken into custody by state police at 18th Street and Park Road and held on a $2,500 surety or $500 cash bond.
• Muhammad I. Putra, 34, Bloomington, was arrested Saturday on a preliminary charge of reckless driving. He was taken into custody by state police at U.S. 31 and State Road 25 and later released on his own recognizance.
• Dina L. Gordon, 53, Kokomo, was arrested Sunday on preliminary charges of reckless driving and driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.15 percent or more. She was taken into custody by state police at U.S. 31 and County Road 50 North and later released on her own recognizance.
Police Incidents
Knife in the park
• Just before noon Friday, an officer responded to Rochester City Park on a report that a man was on the playground with a knife. It was noted that the knife was on the man's hip, and he was not threatening anybody with it. He was advised that there are to be no weapons in the park.
Safety concern
• An ordinance violation was left around 1 p.m. Friday due to overgrown bushes partially blocking a stop sign at the intersection of Monroe and 14th streets.
Drug trash
• At 3:13 p.m. Friday, an officer responded to Kroger Fuel Center, 61 E. 18th St., on a report that someone left a pipe on one of the pumps.
Shooting
• At 6:18 a.m. Friday, emergency personnel were dispatched to 963 W. 375 North on a report that a man was accidentally shot by someone turkey hunting. He was airlifted by Lutheran Air, and the Department of Natural Resources is handling the incident.
Property damage
• Shortly before 7 p.m. Friday, police received a report that a tire fell off a vehicle in the area of Fourth and Madison streets and proceeded to damage another vehicle at the Ford dealership.
Fire call
• At 7:27 p.m. Saturday, firefighters were dispatched to a mobile home fire at 705 E. Fourth St. Rochester Fire Chief T.J. DuBois reports significant smoke and soot damage as a result of the fire, which was contained to a bedroom. Nobody was home at the time, although medics were later requested as the owner returned and was reportedly experiencing a panic attack.
Fight
• At 11:38 p.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to Rochester Motel, 2147 Southway 31, on a report of a fight, during which a man was bitten by a dog.
Theft
• At 6:41 p.m. Sunday, police received a report about the theft of a four-wheeler from 516 E. 11th St. Bolt cutters were found and reportedly used to cut a fence in the theft.
Attempted break-in
• At 9:06 p.m. Sunday, police received a report that someone has attempted to break into a garage at 1408 Audubon Ave. Additional reports were made about harassment over the phone and a confrontation on Saturday night.
Mischief
• At 9:24 p.m. Sunday, an officer checking Rochester City Park noted a door handle was broken off to a men's restroom.
