Jail Bookings
The following people were recently booked at the Fulton County Jail:
• Frances Price, 78, 1511 Ewing Road, Rochester, was arrested Saturday on preliminary charges of domestic battery against a family member younger than 14 years old and neglect of a dependent. She was taken into custody by city police conducting a welfare check on two children in her care. She was held on a $2,500 surety or $500 cash bond.
• Garrett M. Gross, 25, 501 E. Rochester St., Akron, was arrested Sunday on a preliminary charge of driving while intoxicated causing endangerment. He was taken into custody by state police along State Road 14 near Barrett Road and later released on his own recognizance.
• Dawson R. Oliver, 25, 449 E. 850 South, Rochester, was arrested Sunday on a preliminary charge of driving while intoxicated. He was taken into custody by city police at 14th Street and Liberty Road and held without bond.
• Nichole L. Patrick, 41, Lucerne, was taken into custody Sunday on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in court on an original charge of driving without financial responsibility. She was picked up at the Porter County Jail and held on a $100 cash bond.
• Milan Jarquin, 19, Indianapolis, was arrested Monday on preliminary charges of reckless driving and driving without ever obtaining a license. He was taken into custody by sheriff's deputies at U.S. 31 and Wabash Avenue and later released on his own recognizance.
• April M. Kruse, 41, 1703 Madison St., Apt. 2, Rochester, was arrested Monday on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in court on an original charge of violation of compulsory school attendance. She was taken into custody by sheriff's deputies at home following a welfare check on children. She was held on a $150 cash bond.
Police Incidents
Auto thefts
• Shortly before 6 a.m. Friday, police received a report about the theft of a vehicle from 931 Franklin St. The owner reportedly confirmed that it had not been repossessed.
• Shortly before 2 a.m. Monday, police received a report about the theft of a vehicle from 1511 Ewing Road. The incident was determined to be civil in nature, as it was reportedly taken by a family member while the owner was in jail.
Road debris
• At 10:36 a.m. Friday, police received a report that a truck did not have a load covered and it was blowing out onto the roadway at Main Street and McDonald Drive.
Animal call
• Shortly before 11 a.m. Friday, police received a report that someone drove away after dropping off a dog in the area of county roads 650 North and 900 West. Animal control subsequently took possession of the dog.
Disorderly
• At 3:15 p.m. Friday, police received a report that a student of Riddle Elementary was being disorderly on a bus in the area of 11th and Jefferson streets. The child was subsequently transported home.
Fights
• At 11:05 a.m. Friday, police responded to a report of a verbal altercation at 2142 S. Old U.S. 31.
• Shortly before 5 p.m. Friday, police were dispatched to a report of a fight between two men at Pilot, 389 Rochester Crossing Drive. Police records indicate that the alleged victim did not appear to need medical attention and did not wish to pursue charges.
• At 9:40 p.m. Friday, police responded to an incident involving a verbal altercation and threats of suicide at a residence in Country Meadows. Parties involved were advised to stay away from one another and 4C Health was contacted to assist the individual making such comments.
Vehicle struck
• At 5:41 p.m. Friday, a woman reported that she believed her car had been struck earlier in the week at Walmart, 2395 Main St.
Child welfare
• At 11:50 p.m. Friday, police received a complaint about a custody exchange not occurring, resulting in a welfare check of a child being conducted at a residence in the 500 block of Clayton Street. Police records indicate that the child stated she was fine and the Department of Child Services was contacted in reference to the odor of marijuana emitting from the home.
Wrecks
• At 12:16 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a two-vehicle wreck with injury at U.S. 31 and State Road 110.
• A vehicle driven by Anthony B. Hurst damaged a utility pole and phone lines around noon Monday at Rochester Metal Products, 616 Indiana Ave.
• A bicyclist was transported to a hospital after colliding with a vehicle around 7 p.m. Monday in the parking lot of Peace Tree Village Plaza.
Cited
• A driver was cited with possession of marijuana during a traffic stop around 5 p.m. Saturday at U.S. 31 and County Road 50 East.
• A driver was cited with speeding 90 mph in a 60 mph zone around 2 p.m. Sunday at U.S. 31 and Monticello Road.
Suspicious
• At 4:45 p.m. Saturday, police located an unoccupied vehicle with an open alcoholic beverage in its cupholder at The Dam Landing, 1305 Ewing Road.
• Shortly before 1 p.m. Monday, police received a report that a customer of AT&T, 2020 Main St., was trying to transfer information from one phone to another and an employee felt it was inappropriate and did not finish the transfer.
Trespassed
• A man was issued a no trespassing warning for Dairy Queen, 1420 E. Ninth St., around 3 p.m. Sunday. Police records indicate it was requested by managers due to a protective order being in place.
• A man was issued a no trespassing warning for Pilot, 389 Rochester Crossing Drive, around 1:30 a.m. Monday. He had allegedly been inside the store yelling and mentioned hurting someone.
• Following alleged threats, three people were issued no trespassing warnings around 8 p.m. Monday for a residence at Four Seasons Mobile Home Estates, 705 E. Fourth St.
