
Jail Bookings
• Stephen A. Ellinger, 21, 376 Oak St., Rochester, was arrested Tuesday on a preliminary charge of driving while intoxicated. He was taken into custody by sheriff's deputies after reportedly being found unconscious behind the wheel of a crashed vehicle at county roads 100 North and 775 West. He is held without bond.
• Jenna B. Krainock, 21, Howell, Mich., was taken into custody Tuesday on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in court on an original charge of theft. She was picked up at the Wabash County Jail and held on a $200 cash bond.
• Dakwan R. Malone, 28, Elkhart, was taken into custody Tuesday on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on an original charge of driving while suspended. He was picked up at the St. Joseph County Jail and held on a $150 cash bond.
• Michael A. McCool, 44, 2316 Wolfs Point Drive, Rochester, was arrested Wednesday on a preliminary charge of driving while intoxicated. He was taken into custody by sheriff's deputies at Ninth and Race streets and later released on his own recognizance.

Ordinance related
• On Monday morning, city police left warning notices for trash/garbage and unlicensed vehicles at 1030 Elm St., junk at 627 Madison St. and unlicensed vehicles at 530 W. Ninth St.
Harassment
• At 12:31 p.m. Monday, police received a report that a man residing in the 1000 block of Madison Street threatened a FedEx driver with a knife. Audio and camera footage was to be reviewed, however, the driver reportedly did not wish to pursue charges.
Dog bite
• At 8:36 p.m. Monday, a woman requested to speak with an officer after her son was bitten by a dog. She said she tried speaking with the owners, but they slammed a door in her face.
Fire call
• At 1:08 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters were dispatched to a house fire at 263 W. Olson Road. Police records indicate that occupants were able to make it out safely, with an elderly woman being assisted by her daughter. The cause of the fire, which was quickly extinguished, reportedly appeared to be electrical in nature.
Leaving the scene
• At 9:42 p.m. Tuesday, police received a report that someone in a white Chevrolet truck drove away after rear-ending a vehicle at State Road 14 and U.S. 31.
