Dogs and their owners are invited to light up the night this Friday, October 9th, in Centennial Park for the Marshall County Humane Society's Annual Bark in the Dark fundraiser.
The event kicks off at 7:30 p.m. with a $25 donation to participate. T-shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Upon arrival, participants can check in, sign up for dog contests, guess how many treats are in the jar for a prize, and get geared up with glow accessories for the walk.
Contests include best trick, best pet-and-owner lookalike, smallest dog, and largest dog.
Activities during Bark in the Park include guessing how many treats are in the jar for a prize, getting your dog a new engraved tag for $5, with a tag engraver on site for the evening, and a glow walk once the sun sets — bring your best neon and glow sticks to light up the night.
Organizers will have glow leashes and collars available for those who don't bring their own.
