On Wednesday, March 6th just before 11 pm, Deputy Matt Geiger with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department stopped a gray Ford Escape for speeding on Michigan Road in the area of 5C Road.
It was found that the driver, Bruce L. Bannister, 47, North Michigan Road in Plymouth had a suspended license with a prior conviction.
Bruce Bannister was taken to the Marshall County Jail where he was charged with driving while suspended-prior. Mr. Bannister was given a court date and a cash bond of $500.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
