The Argos Town Council has approved the Argos 2040 Comprehensive Plan, titled "Grow, Connect, Create," marking the culmination of a year-long collaboration between the Town of Argos and the Michiana Area Council of Governments (MACOG).
The Argos 2040 Comprehensive Plan includes a Priority Action Program — a punch list of strategies identified by the community as the top priorities to make the most impact in the next three years — as well as an Action Program, which serves as the overall list of strategies to implement over the next decade. The strategies focus on creating vibrant destinations and expanding infrastructure, housing, parks, trails, and recreation.
The draft plan was presented to the Argos Planning Commission on August 4, where it received a favorable recommendation for Town Council adoption. The final plan was then presented and approved by the Town Council on August 26.
Next, the Town is planning to organize an Implementation Advisory Committee and establish a recurring meeting schedule to begin implementing the plan.
