A Rochester man was arrested earlier this month after he was accused of allegedly molesting a child.
Cameron Cole, 26, is now charged with child molesting, a Level 4 felony.
According to the probable cause affidavit, on July 31, a child was confronted after they had been inappropriately touching a stuffed animal and claimed to have learned the behavior from Cole. The child further stated that Cole had also inappropriately touched them and used a sex toy on him / her.
The incident was reported to officials with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and Rochester Police Department on Aug. 1. During an interview with police, Cole stated the child had accused multiple people of touching and that he believed another person had touched the child. Cole further alleged that the child had told the family about being touched a year ago and he thought another individual had reported the incident during that time.
Cole was arrested and booked at the Fulton County Detention Center on Aug. 1. A pretrial conference will be Aug. 25, in the Fulton County Circuit Court.
